Missing Air Crew Report The Air Force History Office is now doing simple MACR searches for family members. The AFHO will send the most pertinent five pages of a MACR plus the appropriate page of the Squadron/Group history for the loss date within a week of the request. Please send requests via E-Mail (AFHRANEWS@maxwell.af.mil) using the form letter below. Just copy and paste into your E-Mail document and fill in the appropriate information where you see bold characters. If you prefer, you can write directly to the address at the head of the letter, or call (334) 953-2395. If you submit your request via E-Mail you MUST write it like you would a regular business letter as that is the way they document your request, and it will make their lives easier. Also remember that the subject MUST be a family member. The MACRs are currently indexed by date, aircraft serial number and weapon serial number. They are only partially indexed by air crew names or units.

I am attaching the whole story for your review. I am conducting this research to see if I can bring closure to the fate of my (FAMILY RELATIONSHIP). If it is available I would like a copy of the Missing Air Crew Report and the Squadron/Group History page for the same date.
