Viliesis tent

This structure was built by local "gooks" (Italians) served as our home at Cerignola after our tent where we previously bunked was destroyed by fire from an overheated home-made heater.  The rafters and studs were confiscated material from the base and the walls were "gookmud" made into blocks and set on top of each other.

This crew was shot down on a mission to Vienna, Austria, on 9 March 1945.  The Escape Statement for William MacDonald is available.
